Welcome to Kardamon!

Three musicians gather together, forming a piano trio.

Experienced in classical music, strongly inclined to improvisation, a pianist, a bass player, and a drummer explore the space between well-constructed compositions and pieces that are created while getting played.

Ranging from chamber music to modern minimalistic style, the music of Kardamon has grown since its beginnings, leading to new aesthetic concepts. Being a platform for experiments, Kardamon's music is open for further development.

Kardamon's name goes back to cardamom, a spice which is related to ginger. The three musicians of Kardamon use it as an inspiration for renewing the jazz piano trio.

Concert on Nov 6
On November, 6th, Kardamon will be giving a concert in the WIST in Graz (Moserhofgasse 34). The concert starts at 7.30 p.m.

Kardamon - Live in Concert on August, 20
Every year in summer, the city of Graz offers a series of jazz concerts every Wednesday. This year, Kardamon are playing on August, 20th. The concert takes place in Herrengasse 9, and starts at 7.30 pm.

Concert, April 26th, 2008
On Saturday, April 26, Kardamon will be giving a concert in Leibnitz. The local jazz club is called "Marenzikeller"; you can find it near the station.
The concert starts at 8 pm. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

About a month ago, we recorded several pieces in our rehearsal room - compositions of 2006 and 2007 as well as thoroughly free improvisations.
Choosing the best takes and mixing them took quite a lot of time, but all's well that ends well: You can listen to the results of this recording session by going to our download area.
If you like to hear more of our music, you'll have to (a) order our CD "aroma", or (b) come to one of our next concerts. Dates will follow.
